Birra birra’s backstory is pretty straightforward: We have an unrelenting passion for perfectly crafted brick-oven pizza, and we decided to bring an elevated, wood-fired pizzeria experience to Oklahoma City. Take that, mix in some chef-created sandwiches, pastas and salads, add a twist of craft cocktails and a killer wine and beer menu, and you’ve got birra birra craft pizzeria.

The birra birra origin story begins in 2000, when our founder Jeff Dixon was learning the ropes at Oklahoma City’s beloved Bellini’s Ristorante & Grill. During this time, Jeff not only discovered a passion for brick-oven pizza, he also pioneered a level of pizza artistry and craftsmanship that only continued to develop over the following decades.

During that time, Jeff managed some of OKC’s favorite restaurants, learning from many of the best in the business. He had an important hand in opening a pizza restaurant but felt he could improve on that experience. It could be more authentic, more elevated, and more craft. That's when the idea of birra birra was born.

At birra birra craft pizzeria, we take the idea of craft seriously. We don’t just toss the word around like an easy culinary buzzword – we mean it. We believe nothing is truly craft until you’ve made it your craft. That’s precisely what our founder Jeff Dixon did, mastering the art of brick-oven pizza many years ago. And Jeff has always been adamant that at birra birra, craft really means something:
